Before the Surrey Leafs game at Centennial Arena on Sunday, October 27, 2013, we decided to park for a while over at Semiahmoo Mall to kill some time prior to the game. However due to some clouds, we saw a gorgeous sunset. With a little tweaking in Elements with the graduated ND filter post-process, I managed to bring out the "fire in the sky" from the sunset.

Went to pick Heather up from Kwantlen-Richmond on Wednesday, October 23rd. Unfortunately, my objective of shooting snow geese never materialized. It was absolutely miserably foggy over at Iona Beach - which thoroughly sucked as far as shooting anything of value.
YVR and Iona Beach were socked in completely with near-zero visibility fog.
Finally gave up and went over to Kwantlen Drive and sat in the Lansdowne Shopping Center parking lot and tried to come up with some photo ideas.
Not really the shoot I expected but when you deal with the elements, you have to learn to switch gears quickly.

There are more shots, but I'm going to be pretty busy with my son's hockey stuff this weekend so I won't have much time to either a) go out shooting (other than my son's game on Sunday or b) go and edit photos.
What appears to be a Northern Shoveler, the black beak and non-iridescent head (not an iridescent green) is throwing my ID off.

A final landscape shot of Crescent Beach while my son, daughter and I were waiting for my wife to finish off work at a London Drugs store in White Rock.
