"The Railing" NW Law Courts - May 28, 2012
One can walk down the railing if one wishes, however, with a sheer drop on one side and stairs on the other, it's not a prospect that is too appealing. But kids do it all the time. I hope no "bright" guy tries to skateboard down the railing. That wouldn't be too smart.
At some point, I want to do redo this shot with a wider angle lens. Maybe even a 10.5mm fish, which I would love to have in my camera bag, but don't.
Douglas College East Entrance - May 28, 2012
I went to Douglas College (for University Transfer Music) in 1989-1991. I never found music as my artistic release. As more of a visual person, I should have graduated to photography, however back in those days, photography was cumbersome, with 1 week turnarounds for 35mm film. Photography really opened up to me when the digital revolution came around in 2000.

The Hanging Judge, Judge - May 28, 2012
The Hanging Judge Statue at the Law Courts in New Westminster. Judge Matthew Baillie Begbie "The Hanging Judge". Was his nickname unfairly given? You decide.

10.5 Fisheye - September 19, 2007
A few "playin' around" shots with the 10.5 fisheye lens from Gastown Photo. Taken just outside the door of the store, it's very limited in creativity, but the fisheye offers a really cool perspective on the world around you. Sure wish I could afford to put it in my gear however, I'll stick to my long lens and macro lens acquisition plans for now.
As you can see, the 10.5 fish (takes into account the crop factor of the DX format and produces a superwide although really distorted image. Offers a whole new perspective. I love the thing and wish I had one. Would be really cool for cityscape shots looking up from street level in downtown.

Iris in Full Bloom - May 18, 2012
One of the things that I've noticed about floral photography is that you really need a macro lens to do it properly. And I hope to get one shortly. This is an iris that I've shot with my 50mm f/1.8, but what would really be nice is to get in close and get the texture of the flower. And that's what I hope to do with my 105mm f/2.8 VR when I get it.

Building Construction Near Cambie Bridge - August 21, 2007
Nikon D50 shot
This was going to be a POTD (Photo of the Day) entry, but well, I went up to try to catch a bus to an appointment, however ended up missing the darned bus due to my bus pass being in my wallet, and it being at home, left there because I wanted to travel light.

Holland Park SW Entrance - March 6, 2008
Holland Park's SW Entrance has changed quite considerably over the past 4 years. This is the entrance by 98b Avenue.
Surprisingly Google Maps still has the old satellite image. It's like a step back in time to 2008.

Silversea Web Design
Every photographer needs a well-designed website. Finding the right web-designer is key. I have yet to put up a website of my own, however I hope to do that in the near future, once I get all my requirements I need in a website taken care of.
The owner and website designer of Silversea Web Design is a good friend of mine: Tania Reano Veitch. She's a top-notch web designer and her designs just blow me away.
Check out her work at Silversea Web Design or follow her at Silversea Web Design Facebook Page and if you need a website developed and brought online, consider her first.

American Airlines B757-223 - June 25, 2008
The two aircraft photos are for April 29 and April 30 respectively since I didn't get a chance to put up some photos on those two days.
